OfficeMax New Zealand is a leader in both business-to-business office product solutions and retail office products.
The company’s mission is simple: to help its customers do their best work. To achieve this, it has approximately 800 staff nationwide, OfficeMax sought to combine its head office and distribution under one roof.
OfficeMax desired to integrate its 4,500 sq m head office with its 15,000 sq m distribution facility and approached property partners Goodman with its wish list.
A functional and efficient building that facilitated staff interaction and satisfaction were key components of the design brief. Equally important was the desire to achieve a property solution that was environmentally sympathetic as well as cost effective.
Feedback was sought from OfficeMax staff throughout the design and build process.

The OfficeMax complex won the 2009 Property Council Excellence Award for Industrial Property. The judges were impressed by the sustainable and aesthetic elements of the design, the facility’s scale and its financial parameters.
OfficeMax has also been impressed with its new surroundings.
