SCA Hygiene wanted to use their warehouse and distribution facility, at the Gate Industry Park in Penrose, in a more efficient way. Warehouse access was one issue with an obsolete loading machine taking up space and being operationally inefficient.
SCA worked with the Goodman team to resolve the issue. The solution was to build a Loading Dock Leveller (LDL), in fact seven of them, improving warehouse access and facilitating the loading and unloading of trucks. Goodman engaged contractors to design and build the LDL, it procured the contact and managed the installation and commissioning process.
The Goodman team also helped with the refurbishment and reconfiguration of existing office space at the same facility. They provided temporary office accommodation for the SCA staff while they projected managed the renovation and fitout work.
The SCA team work on site six days a week, 24 hours a day. On both these projects the Goodman team successfully worked around the normal operations of the customer and neighbouring businesses to improve the operational efficiency of SCA Hygiene’s premises.
SCA now have a more efficient warehouse with improved access.
