GMT’s development programme has always included a combination of design-build and build-to-lease projects. It’s a proven strategy with the 15 warehouses developed on an uncommitted basis in 2018 being leased either before completion or shortly after. John Dakin said “These new facilities will provide customers with another option for their space requirements. They are of a size and design that is likely to appeal to a wide range of occupiers and we expect them to lease quickly.”

Developments completed early 2020:

18 Business Parade North, Highbrook Business Park - This 3,130 sqm warehouse with 400 sqm of office facility completed Jan 2020 and was leased prior to completion to Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

18 Underwood Street, Highbrook Business Park -  An 826 sqm compact and efficient warehouse facility with a north facing office facade that uses angled glazing that maximises natural light and provides views up the street to the estuary. 

El Kobar Units, 70 - 74 Highbrook Drive, Highbrook Business Park - Three brand new warehouse units located on a high profile site. The position provides excellent business exposure with around 30,000 vehicle movements a day along Highbrook Drive. These units have been fully leased with Active Healthcare in Unit A, Ramcar Group of Companies in Unit B and Franklin Plumbers & Builders Supplies Limited in Unit C.

7 Underwood Street, Highbrook Business Park - This 2,630 sqm warehouse and 360 sqm office facility was leased prior to completion to Paramount Safety.

Savill Drive Units, 178 Savill Drive, Savill Link - Three brand new warehouse units on Savill Drive offer operational flexibility for customers who utilise both motorway systems. All three units have already been leased. Macsim Fasteners, The Pure Food Co and Miller Design have leased Units A-C respectively. These units are scheduled to complete April 2020.

Highbrook Business Park, East Tamaki

Highbrook Crossing Units, 67 Business Parade South, Highbrook Business Park  – A seven-unit development providing 4,265 sqm of warehouse/showroom space on Underwood Street and Business Parade South. There are six adjoining warehouse units, ranging in size from 335 sqm to 595 sqm, the seventh is a standalone 545 sqm facility. They are similar to the Parade Units which are located opposite, all seven of these units leased before completion in late 2018. These units are scheduled to complete February 2021.

Waiouru Point Warehouses, 4-6 Waiouru Road, Highbrook Business Park – Two adjoining warehouses overlooking the Tamaki River and alongside the esplanade reserve on Waiouru Road. The developments provide 1,800 sqm and 2,012 sqm of warehouse and associated office space. Both warehouses have been leased prior to completion to Franklins Plumbers & Builders.

M20 Business Park, Wiri
